"Rido" (clan violence) is a perennial and tragic occurrence in Mindanao especially in Muslim communities. It affects not just members of warring parties but the entire community. It hampers peace and development not only in the conflict area but beyond it. Simply put, "rido" is a malady that has a debilitating impact to our country.
