Commitment

Some people say "commitment" is crippling because it bounds us to one thing, it ties up to the subject of our commitment, it restricts us from other pursuits. I disagree. I say, commitment is truly liberating, it makes life meaningful. It makes us free from doubts clouding our minds, it frees us from fear of the unknown. The act makes us more productive as persons...To commit to something or someone is a distinctively human thing to do. Commitment makes us focus on things, on causes, or persons who matter to us most.

Without commitment, we will be like a boat that does not know its bearings in the middle of a rough sea.
