Students set fire to desks and take over the main buildings at PUP to protest tuition fee increases (Photo by Kabataan Partylist).
Geezz!!...What right these student-protesters have destroying those much-needed school equipment of a cash-strapped State University? Are these the so-called "Iskolar Ng Bayan"* that we, taxpayers, spend for to educate? Are they really scholars-in-training or just plain hooligans-in-school wasting much-needed government resources? Is violence the only method they know to air their grievance/s? Did their smart-minds run out of civil means and constructive ideas?
If this is the kind of "iskolar-ng-bayan" we have, I'm now slowly beginning to doubt the future of the Philippines.
